About East Bay Center for the Performing Arts
East Bay Center (EBC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to community enrichment through
the inspiration and discipline of rigorous training in world performance traditions. They were facing
challenges with manually managing donation opportunities within Salesforce, their CRM system. The
staff, especially those without technical expertise, needed a simpler, automated way to convert these
opportunities into product line items
The Requirements
EBC required a solution to automate the conversion of donation opportunities into product line items
within Salesforce. This process was previously done manually, consuming valuable time and resources.
The main challenge was to create a solution that was not only efficient but also user-friendly enough for
non-technical staff.
The Solutions
An automated system was developed to transform donation opportunities into product line items
in Salesforce. A web application was built using Flask, allowing staff to upload CSV files containing
donation data. The app processed the data and uploaded it to Salesforce seamlessly. To ensure
accessibility, the solution was packaged in a Docker container, complete with clear setup instructions.
The Result
The automation significantly improved EBC's donation management process. Staff could now
convert donation opportunities into product line items without manual intervention. The user-friendly
interface empowered non-technical staff to handle the process with ease, allowing EBC to allocate more
time toward its mission-driven efforts.
